Our brief was to undertake the installation of mechanical services to a dedicated, high-end, education building, complete with 150 seat cinema, café/bar, commercial kitchen, curriculum offices and circulation areas over three floors within a new build construction of approximately 1000m². Work were to be completed and the building to be fully operational to suit the start of the new academic year.
The installation of a new plant room with extensive lowpressure hot water heating throughout and under-floor heating to the ground floor, and also heating and cooling to the cinema area and projection room. Work also included above ground drainage and domestic water services to central core WC areas and the commercial kitchen. We achieved successful completion of the mechanical services on time and on budget. This is a popular and well-used property and obtained a RIBA Regional Award and Civic Trust Award Commendation.
